SMS Hack via SMSTrap

December 18th, 2009 | Comments | Posted in Communication, Security

I come accross an online sms hack service called SMSTrap. SMSTrap is actually came out from an idea to track SMS messages of children and loved ones according to their terms but their ads says differently and to be honest to hack SMS messages of our lovers will get attention of many. But according to the laws in many regions of the world, no one can hack sms messages of lovers so this is the dilemna of the service to use it legally. On the other hand, you can hack and track the SMS messages of your children via its online interface.
Since you can’t hack some other person’s mobile they soon will open an online shop to sell SMSTrap software installed mobile devices to interesting parties and I can honestly say that can boost their revenue and population soon and also reaction to this service will be higher…
SMS hack via smstrap is so simple process: You install a little software to mobile phone of your child, lover or victim(!) and whenever he/she sends an SMS messages, the software keep track a copy of it to smstrap service and you can follow hacked SMS messages from this webbased interface easily.
Honetsly I haven’t tried the service but… I guess it adds up the divorce rate a little bit, what do you think?

Housebreaking by Using Latest Internet Trends

November 4th, 2009 | Comments | Posted in Communication, Online Services, Security

Housebreaking by using internetA few weeks ago I read an article about the crime rates in big metropols. In New York only the crime rates has doubled in housebreaking because of heavy usage of Internet social media sites. It was in the news only and I wasn’t so interested on the article but then… After a few days I met one of my good friends online while using MSN. The users of MSN knows that you can append a message in your status bar. And my friend just installed a plugin ( a tiny software) for MSN that tells all his buddy-list about where is he now by using GPS (Global Positioning Sysytem) technology. For interested visitors the applicaiton is GPSed and can be downloaded freely. It is done for good for sure but then I realized the article about crime rates and I figured out how this can be done so easily :(
Internet is used by many people now for communication and socializing. The user base of some social media sites like facebook is over the whole US population! This tremendous popularity also attracts cyber ciriminals :(
What we do is sharing information with friends, collegues, family members, ets. but without any doubt most of us also accepts many friendship inquiries on these social media sites including facebook, myspace, twitter and alot more without knowing whom this inquiry belongs to… But the information given on these sites should be chosen carefully indeed… A sentence stating “Hi folks… We are on Hawai for the Christmas holiday… come join us… wouw..” takes attention of housebreakers also and they may well-noted this piece of information on their agenda! So, stay connected with the World but be carefull what kind of informaiton you share online ;)

Facebook Account Hacking just 100$!

September 21st, 2009 | Comments | Posted in Communication, News, Security

Today I read a news from webpornews about a web service providing facebook account hack for any individual having facebook account just for 100$. According to their claim, after you pay them 100$, they provide you a web interface to continue on hacking. It may take 5 minutes to hack any facebook account again according to their claim! After reaching almost over 300 milion user-base, it is a very bad news for everyone having online presence :( Here is what Luis Corrons from Panda Company says:

facebook account hack “The service’s real purpose may be hacking Facebook accounts as they say, or profiting from those that want to try the service,” says PandaLabs Technical Director Luis Corrons. “In any case, the Web page is very well designed. It is easy to contract the service and become either the victim of an online fraud, or a cyber-criminal and accomplice in identity theft. Once an intruder hacks into a Facebook account, all personal data published on the site can be stolen.”
“Similarly, those accounts can also be used to send malware, spam or other threats to the victim’s contacts,” adds Corrons. “In the case of celebrities or other well-known entities, they can be used to defame the account holder, spread information in their name, etc. In any event, this is criminal activity.”

Panda Labs says that in addition to extorting money and obtaining access to clients’ bank account information, the service also has characteristics in line with hacker affiliate programs. Essentially, these offer money to other cyber criminals for spreading malware. This particular site offers extra dollar-credits to spend on the service when users hack more accounts. Users are told they can get 20% of what they sell in credits for hacking more accounts.
The domain that hosts the site is registered in Moscow. Panda Labs speculates that the cybercriminals behind the site are members of an Eastern European Internet Mafia. Payments are conducted through Western Union to the Ukraine. The site claims to have been around for four years, with only one percent of Facebook accounts deemed “hack-proof.”
